 Forever IN Between

 Saturday, October 30, 2021
 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
 The Tank (312 W 36th StNew York, NY, 10018)

One of my art songs called "The Town of Wind"(風のまち) is going to be featured at this concert! So grateful to the fantastic Soprano Hirona Amamiya for singing this song in the original Japanese lyrics, a poem by Takehiko Fukunaga(福永武彦).

So very excited about this! I'm truly grateful for this opportunity to accompany the amazing Katie for this special concert. Can't wait to share the beautiful songs of Maine and the American Northeast with the audience soon!

Lungs of the City: Olmsted’s Parks in Music

Posted by ayumi on June 8, 2021

I'm so excited about this! I'm writing a World Premiere work for chamber septet inspired by NYC's Fort Tryon Park for "Lungs of the City: Olmsted’s Parks in Music" alongside seven fantastic composers of Landscape Music!

Fort Tryon Park has been my favorite park since I moved to Washington Heights, and it's my honor to write a musical response to the park I love. So much gratitude to Landscape Music and its Founder & Director Nell Shaw Cohen, Music in the American Wild, Juventas New Music Ensemble, and guest performers at Michigan Technological University for this amazing opportunity.
